About the Pets range

The Pets range is a small, focused selection rather than a full pet shop, and it is mostly cat food — wet food in trays, pouches and multipacks, and a few dry lines — along with pet cleaning wipes. It is worth saying plainly so you know what to expect before you look.

Practical notes

• Wet food is sold both singly and in multipacks. The multipack is usually the better value, and the pack states how many pieces and what size each one is.
• Change food gradually, mixing the new in with the old over several days. A sudden switch upsets most animals.
• Once opened, wet food needs refrigerating and using within the window on the tin or tray.
• Check the life stage on the pack — kitten, adult, senior — and any note about a specific dietary need.

One thing worth being direct about, since this is a pharmacy: human medicines must never be given to an animal. Several that are entirely ordinary for people — including common painkillers — are seriously toxic to cats and dogs, at doses far below anything that would affect a person. If your pet is unwell, that is a question for a veterinarian, and neither the products here nor anything else on this site is a substitute for one.
