About Colour Cosmetics

Colour Cosmetics is the makeup range. Lip products are the biggest part of it — lipsticks, liners and glosses — followed by face makeup such as foundation, concealer and powder, then nail care including polish and treatments, and eye makeup from mascara to liner and shadow.

Shopping for shade

• Shade names are not comparable across brands. Where a shade number appears in the product name it is the manufacturer’s own code, not a standard.
• Foundation and concealer are listed with their finish — matte, dewy, satin — which is often a bigger difference in wear than the shade itself.
• Nail polish and remover are shelved together; check whether a shade needs a base or top coat to wear as shown.

Cosmetics have a period-after-opening symbol on the pack — an open jar marked 6M, 12M and so on. It is worth noting when you open something, particularly for eye products. If you have sensitive eyes, wear contact lenses, or react to fragrance, our pharmacist can point you to the lines formulated for that.
