Points worth checking

• Sizing is by weight and age band, and the two do not always agree. Where they differ, the weight on the pack is the one to follow.
• Bottle teats are sold by flow rate as well as by fit — the rate is matched to the baby’s age, and the pack states it.
• Baby skin-care products are formulated for infant skin specifically; adult products are not interchangeable with them, whatever the ingredients look like.
• Keep the pack until the product is finished. Batch numbers and expiry dates live there, and both matter for anything a baby uses.
